Marriage is called a fruitful institution if it lasts a lifetime. In different social settings, different customs and practises are observed. In Indian society, arranged marriages are known to exist since ages.

The new Indian culture is undergoing change. The youth readily accept new customs, but traditional practises and family values remain a priority in our society. As a result, a new genre of love-cum arranged marriages has arisen, combining the best of all worlds.

Love marriage is more acceptable and comprehensible to the trendy generation. It helps the duo to grasp one another well, before taking the crucial decision of life. But independence covets highest degree of responsibility also. 

On the opposite hand Love marriages are considered more of as western influence. Though, the concept is now acceptable within the modern societal set ups but it's still not embraced heartedly in rural parts of the country.
